How to Help

Post by itsourcrazylife »

Many Krewe members have expressed interest in helping Keys citizens recover from Irma. I really cannot stress this enough. Money is what is needed most. We don't know what everyone needs and each individual is different. Stores are open. Supplies are available. But many were out of work for days or weeks, and some still are. Just about everyone we talk to in Key West from business owners to service staff tells us the same thing...spend money. And to that we add...And tip well. Let those affected buy the things they need most.

Captain Tony's has been good for the Krewe and the Krewe has been good for Captain Tony's. We do bring a lot of business to them. But what other bar would let us come in and decide what events to have? Instead of telling us what they want to do,every year they ask what we want and how they can help. We all know this is an especially trying year for them and their employees. With that in mind, please consider buying most beer and drinks from them instead of from the "$2 beer stands" that pop up along Green St. The same goes for other established bars in the party zone. Buying from the stands helps 1 or 2 people. Buying from an established business helps many.
